THE DREAM GALAXY
With The Dream Galaxy, William Edge turns his attention outward—and perhaps inward as well.
The album combines ambient soundscapes, jazz-influenced composition and electronic textures to create a cinematic journey through imagined spaces. Titles such as “Starlight River,” “Star Walkers,” “Star Bones,” “Quark Light,” “Travelers on the Quantum Highway” and “Approach to M42 Altra” suggest the scale of the landscape, but the music remains distinctly human.
At its heart, The Dream Galaxy is less about outer space than the places music allows the imagination to visit. Melodies emerge from atmospheric backgrounds, rhythms appear and disappear, and individual pieces unfold more like scenes than conventional songs.
It is music for late nights, headphones and anyone willing to drift for a while.
